Roof Fixture Removal

Take down what you no longer use, and leave the roof watertight.

Disused antennas, dishes, evaporative coolers and flues clutter the roofline and are common leak points. We remove them safely, patch the penetrations properly and take everything away.

What it is & why it matters

Understanding roof fixture removal

The removal is the easy part; what is left behind matters. Every fixture has bolts, brackets or a hole through the roof. If that hole is only covered with silicone, it will usually leak eventually.

We replace damaged or drilled tiles, fit proper flashings or patch metal sheeting, and match the finish as closely as possible. It is also an ideal step before a restoration, so the new coating goes over a clean, solid roof.

Our process

How we do it, step by step

You will know what is happening on your roof at every stage. We share photos as we go so nothing is hidden behind the gutter line.

See our work in the gallery
  1. Identify connections

We check for water, power and gas connections, and coordinate with a licensed trade if anything needs disconnecting first.

  2. Remove fixture

Fixtures are dismantled and lowered safely.

  3. Patch & seal

Penetrations are closed with replacement tiles, flashings or sheet patches, not just sealant.

  4. Internal check

Where relevant, we check the ceiling side of the opening.

  5. Haul away

Old fixtures and materials are removed from site.

Before you book

Good to know

Disconnections

Evaporative coolers and gas flues may need a licensed plumber or electrician to disconnect first. We will tell you upfront.

Bundle it

Removing several fixtures in one visit, or before a restoration, is the most cost-effective approach.

Ceiling vents

Removing a cooler leaves a ceiling vent. We can discuss how to close that off.
